Below are answers to questions I typically receive from new patients. If you have any specific questions, feel free to call or email to discuss your situation.

COST

How much does physical therapy cost?

We offer a competitive self-pay rate of $150 for an hour. Peer Physical Therapy is an out-of-network provider and does not bill insurance directly. An itemized recepit will be provided for private isurance reimbursement upon request. Medicare participants are not elegible at this time for itemized receipts for reimbursement.

ACCESS

Do I need a prescription and/or referral from my doctor?

Physical therapy is direct access in the state of Illinois which means we do not need a prescription from your doctor. Our therapists will refer you to a physician if any further assessments need to be done prior to initiating a course of physical therapy.

PLANNING

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing.  For shoulder problems, tank tops are preferred. For any lower body injuries shorts are preferred.

  • Payment via cash, check, Venmo, and Zelle

APPROACH

I've been to PT in the past without improvement, how are you different?

Unfortunately, many physical therapy clinics are required to treat 2-3 patients per hour, which does not allow optimal results. We focus on one-on-one, 60 minute sessions with a skilled physical therapist working on the problem, not just the pain. We also make sure you are leaving each visit with a detailed plan for what to work on during the week.  We strive to be the best  physical therapy clinic in Chicago.
