Dr. Orah Peer,
Physical Therapist

A patient-focused philosophy guides Peer Physical Therapy. Customized treatment plans and one-on-one sessions ensure that patients get care for the underlying problem, not just the pain.

Philosophy & Approach

Dr. Orah Peer is the Founder of Peer Physical Therapy. She treats a variety of patient populations including arthritis, tendinitis, joint muscle and ligament injuries. She excels in dry needling, return to sport, and pre- and post- surgical care.

Having been a Physical Therapist for the last six years, Orah also currently works at Northshore University HealthSystem, where she leads research efforts, participates in a variety of special interest groups, and a deep and diverse patient population over the years. She has created and implemented programs with high school student athletes and coaches for injury screens, dynamic warm ups, and strength programs. She graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois in Champaign.

When not treating patients, Orah enjoys weightlifting, Pilates, and meditation. She loves spending time with her family and friends, and looks to spend as much time outside as she can.

I had two knee replacements in the last two years and I was lucky enough to find Orah Peer as my physical therapist! I learned that the surgery is the easy part...the rehab is another story and it is essential to have the most qualified PT person to work with!  Lucky me, I had one, and her name was Orah Peer.
She was so competent, so caring, so encouraging and I attribute my great range of mobility, my knee extension and flexion, and overall recovery one hundred percent to her.  I am able to do everything and anything that I want... I was, and am. a physically active and fit person and she brought right back to where I was...if not better. I loved working with her and looked forward to our sessions together.
